Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Whilst One Piece may still be airing, albeit changed from a continuous weekly format to a seasonal production schedule aimed at around 26 episodes per year, its popularity still continues to shadow others in the genre. First published in manga form back in 1997 with its anime adaptation following in 1999, both continue to this day, marking the best-selling comic book series and best-selling manga series of all time.

Now, with the addition of a live-action adaptation under its belt courtesy of Netflix, One Piece is stronger than ever and this upcoming release is bound to bring even more fans to the ever-growing fanbase.

Created by KessCo in collaboration with Toei Animation, One Piece: Dawn of Liberation is a tabletop RPG which reached its full funding in just ten seconds of beginning its Kickstarter campaign earlier this year. Put simply, this is a TTRPG that thousands of fans are eager to get their hands on.

The 1-4 player cooperative game will see players relive the story of the Wano arc of One Piece by "joining the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance to save the citizens of Wano from the villainous Shogun Orochi and take down Kaido, an Emperor of the Sea, for good."

For ages 14+ with each campaign lasting around 180+ minutes, One Piece: Dawn of Liberation tasks players with building their own crew, controlling the alliance, and defeating Kaido all whilst completing missions and stashing resources.

"Start with a Captain and one Crewmate, then grow your crew as you adventure through the One Piece world in Wano!" The official description for One Piece: Dawn of Liberation reads. "Gather resources and recruit Samurai, discover iconic allies and valuable loot, power-up your characters and defend the people of Wano's Joy long enough to launch your final climactic raid on Onigashima!"

By defending the joy of Wano, you will be able to gain lore from missions, discover loot and valuable rewards, and even avoid prison as you dive into the adventures of this stunning TTRPG in collaboration with Toei Animation.

For those who backed the Kickstart campaign, One Piece: Dawn of Liberation will be shipped to select countries starting from October 2026 with the Standard Edition costing $100. However, if you wish to get your hands on an epic bundle complete with stacks of collectibles and art, you can purchase the Dawn of Liberation ALL IN BUNDLE for $520.

So, if you are eager for more of the One Piece universe and want to gather some friends for hours of fun, look no further than this official TTRPG courtesy of KessCo.
