Deftones‘ Chino Moreno has teamed up with Beabadoobee for a new joint song – listen to ‘Satellite’ below.
The collaboration serves as the closing track on Bea’s fourth studio album, ‘Pylon’, which was released last Friday (September 18).
“I wonder if you think of me/ Like the way you used to/ I’m hanging upside down/ Don’t want to let you down again,” sings the artist (real name Beatrice Laus) on the tender and emotional cut.
“Stolen moments on the telephone/ Hold my breath until the dial tone/ Ring, ring, ring/ To bring you back to me/ Ring, ring, ring/ To bring you back to me.”

Chino provides subtle backing vocals, with ‘Satellite’ exploding into a heavy, distorted alt-rock chorus: “I’m looking up, under the stars/ I’m split in two, sing to the moon/ Orbiting you/ Like a satellite.”

In a four-star review of ‘Pylon’, NME praised Beabadoobee for how she “cements that feeling” of “always returning to someone, despite the passing of time” on ‘Satellite’. “It’s in these moments that Laus’ emotional maturity and songwriting credentials shine brightest,” it added.
Our review concluded: “Beabadoobee doesn’t have the answers to the anxieties that come with growing up, and she doesn’t seem to need them. There’s something liberating about simply admitting you’re still figuring it out.”
The album also features contributions from Paramore‘s Hayley Williams, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, and The 1975‘s Matty Healy and George Daniel. Title Fight’s Shane Moran co-wrote numerous tracks on the LP.
‘Pylon’ contains the singles ‘Memories’, ‘Switchblade’ and ‘Sun Has Set’.
Beabadoobee is playing her first-ever UK, European and North American arena tours this year, and will be making stops across the US and Canada next month. Find any remaining tickets here.

Meanwhile, Deftones played the biggest UK headline gig of their career last month with a massive bill-topping slot at London’s Outbreak x All Points East. The band played a run of shows across Europe, too.
