Court acquits Papagomo over alleged seditious remarks

Translate

KLANG: Blogger Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris has once again been acquitted by the Sessions Court of a charge of making seditious remarks over allegations that the current government was pro-Israel.

His lawyer, Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali, said judge Siti Aminah Ghazali acquitted his client, better known as Papagomo, at the end of the defence case.

"The judge ruled that the defence had successfully raised a reasonable doubt in the prosecution's case, while the prosecution had failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt," he said.
