Coronation Street unveils first look at twisted love triangle as Jodie Ramsey plots to ensnare David Platt

In a brand new trailer, Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey hatches a plan to ensnare her sister Shona’s husband, David.

Jodie, who’s played by Olivia Frances Brown, has been plotting revenge against Shona (Julia Goulding) for running away from home as a pregnant teenager ever since her arrival on the cobbles earlier this year, and has been carrying out multiple schemes.

And it looks like she’s about to step things up a notch. In the new trailer for the ITV soap, Jodie can be heard making the bold declaration to David (Jack P Shepherd) that he "deserves someone that will treat you right.”

The clip also gives fans a glimpse at Shona’s reaction when she discovers what Jodie has done, with Shona telling her sister to back off David "before I drag you away".

Speaking about the upcoming storyline, Brown said: "Jodie has convinced herself that David symbolises her potential for future happiness.

"She’s lost the plot a little bit and truly believes David is the answer to all her wants and needs."

She continued: "When pushed, you just don't know what Jodie’s capable of. She has a lot of dark secrets and has a genuinely sinister side to her."

Next week on the ITV soap, Jodie is set to cause more trouble when she swaps her dad Doug's (Steve Evets) anti-psychotic medication for ordinary painkillers.
