Kashiwamochi is sweet and shy and looking for a new home

Named after a Japanese sweet, Kashiwamochi was handed over to ARK along with a number of other cats when their owner became ill and was hospitalized.
Kashiwamochi seems to be quite a timid girl but she is inquisitive and photogenic and there’s a beautiful soul in her, and it’s yearning to trust and to love again.
With time, we strongly believe Kashiwamochi will learn to trust people just fine and she’ll return affection shown her.
Born around 2018, Kashiwa has a great appetite and she’s not picky about food.
She is best friends with one of the other cats she lived with, named Sakuramochi, and we’re hoping they can be rehomed together.
In any case, Kashiwamochi would likely be fine and even thrive in a household with multiple cats.
If you are interested in adopting, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 (English or Japanese) Monday to Saturday for more information. Animal Refuge Kansai (with offices in Kansai and Tokyo) is an NPO founded by U.K. native Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are required to undergo a screening process. Web: www.arkbark.net
