Semiconductor selloff: 10 chip stocks showing signs of oversold conditions

The global selloff in semiconductor stocks has intensified as concerns over an overheated artificial intelligence trade, rising financing costs and growing Chinese competition weigh on investor sentiment.
Memory-chip makers have come under particular pressure, with South Korea’s SK hynix plunging 10% and Samsung Electronics falling 7.4% to their lowest levels since August, while U.S.-listed chipmakers and semiconductor equipment suppliers have also retreated.
The weakness has spread across the chip industry, from AI infrastructure providers to memory and equipment manufacturers. Micron Technology (MU), Sandisk (SNDK), Seagate Technology (STX) and Western Digital (WDC) fell in premarket trading, while Intel (INTC) dropped 5.7%. Cerebras Systems (CBRS), ASML Holding (ASML), Lam Research (LRCX) and Applied Materials (AMAT) were also lower.
Against this backdrop, a screen of chip-related stocks ranked by their Relative Strength Index highlights 10 names showing oversold signs.
Tokyo Electron (TELWY) tops the list with an RSI of 17, well below the widely watched threshold of 30 that typically indicates oversold conditions. Cerebras Systems and IonQ (IONQ) follow with RSI readings of 31 and 35, respectively, while Nova Ltd. (NVMI) and BE Semiconductor Industries (BESIY) round out the top five.
SK hynix (SKHY), which has been caught in the broader memory-chip selloff, is also among the stocks on the list, alongside Kioxia Holdings (KXIAY), SiTime Corporation (SITM), Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) and Intel, all with RSI readings of 40 or below.
The Relative Strength Index is a momentum indicator that measures the magnitude and speed of recent price movements on a scale from 0 to 100, typically over a 14-day period. Readings below 30 are generally considered to indicate oversold conditions, while readings above 70 suggest a stock may be overbought.
Although low RSI readings can signal that selling pressure has become pronounced, they do not guarantee a near-term rebound, particularly when concerns over AI valuations, financing costs and competitive pressures continue to weigh on the sector.
