The Traitors is back for New Blood. The latest iteration of the reality competition show is trading its celebrity contestants for an all-civilian cast. There will be at least one familiar face, as Alan Cumming returns to hosting duties. The series, which became a massive streaming hit for Peacock, is also going primetime: it will air weekly on NBC at 8 p.m.

At a Glance: How to Watch The Traitors: New Blood

The first two episodes will air back-to-back on Thursday, while episodes three and four will air back-to-back next week. The series will then return to one episode a week at 8 p.m. on Thursdays. New episodes air on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock.

What Is The Traitors About?

For the uninitiated, the reality competition series follows contestants in a house vying for a shared prize pot. Each night, one contestant is “murdered,” while the faithful try to find and vote out the players they suspect are traitors.

If the faithful reach the end and eliminate the traitors, they split the money. But if any traitors are still standing, the faithful go home empty-handed. In between, there are dark robes, physical contests, and Cumming’s delightfully over-the-top take on the game master role.

This iteration will see The Traitors castle filled with non-reality TV stars, which will be an exciting change. With so many contestants from the same reality shows, previous seasons have occasionally lost their murder mystery charm under the weight of the players’ shared history (and it can be awkward to watch a Real Housewife of Dubai win a bunch of money).

Where to Watch The Traitors

If you’re looking to catch the series live, the first two episodes air at 8 p.m. on NBC and stream on Peacock the next day. Live access to NBC is available with the Peacock Premium Plus plan, or you can stream the network with a live-TV streaming service like DirecTV or Fubo. Those services each have a free trial. A Peacock subscription is less expensive, but does not include a free trial.
