Juventus held talks for Borussia Dortmund and Italy talent Inacio in June

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus were among the clubs that asked for information about Samuele Inacio last summer, but Borussia Dortmund were unwilling to sell.
Juventus targeted Italian talent Inacio this past June and sounded out Borussia Dortmund’s willingness to sell the 18-year-old, Fabrizio Romano said.

Romano spoke during an event with Cronache Di Spogliatoio earlier this week, with his words reported by TuttoJuve,
“I think Inacio might consider returning to Italy one day. A couple of Serie A teams already tried to sign him during the past summer transfer window,” Romano said.
“He’s a player Juventus really like. Juventus asked for information during the summer to see if they had a chance, then signed Ekhator because Inacio wasn’t on the market.”
Inacio has received his second Italy call-up for the upcoming Nations League games, but he won’t be involved against Belgium tonight, as he was one of the players sent to the stands by coach Roberto Mancini.
Inacio already made his senior Italy debut in an international friendly against Luxembourg in June, but remains eligible to play for Brazil, as his only Italy appearance was not in a competitive match.
Multiple sources claim that Juventus aim to build a strong core of Italian players in the future and have set their sights on goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani (Frosinone) and midfielder Alessandro Romano (Cagliari).
