Prince Harry says kids are ‘happy’ at new UK school

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry revealed that his two children are happy at their new school after the family’s move back to the United Kingdom.

Speaking to CTV News in Canada after skydiving near Toronto to raise money for two veterans’ charities, Prince Harry said it was “great to be back on British soil.” He also gave an update on his family settling in to the United Kingdom (UK), saying: “The kids are happy in school”. He added that it lets him focus on the Invictus Games, which is set to to take place in Birmingham in July 2027.

Prince Harry has two children – Prince Archie (7) and Princess Lilibet (5) with wife Meghan Markle. The pair moved out of the Uk in 2020 and into Montecito, California, where they started a new life with their kids. However, tHarry and Meghan returned to the UK last month after six years in the US. The family are reportedly living in the Cotswolds in central England.

Soon after arriving, they reportedly moved Archie and Lilibet to a different school over security concerns, with the distance and heavy traffic on the route to school. According to reports, the children were pulled out two days after starting, and that traffic was straining the couple’s small security team. A spokesperson said the decision followed a discussion with the family’s security team about practicalities.

THE SECURITY CONCERNS

Security has been a sore point since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties. Harry lost a legal battle with the British government over his security in early 2024. He later told the BBC he could not see bringing his wife and children back to the UK. Since the move, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, which decides who gets taxpayer-funded police protection, has reportedly commissioned a new risk assessment for the couple.

Harry reunited with his father, King Charles III, in September 2025, after more than a year and a half without seeing him.
