Four‑vehicle chain collision leaves two with minor injuries on Jalan Lapangan Terbang in Kuching

KUCHING, Sept 26 — Two people sustained minor injuries in a chain collision involving four vehicles along Jalan Lapangan Terbang here yesterday afternoon.

The collision, reported at about 2.49pm, involved two four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a van.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) dispatched personnel from the Tabuan Jaya fire station, supported by the Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) team from Batu Lintang fire station, following a distress call.

“There were two individuals who were slightly injured – and there were no victims pinned in the affected vehicles,” Bomba said in a statement.

Firefighters also carried out clean-up operations to remove an oil spill caused by the collision.

The incident resulted in traffic congestion along the affected stretch of road.
