Liberia have handed a maiden national team call-up to Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper Derrick Daddy Julu ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) double-header against Cape Verde.
Julu earned his first invitation to the Lone Star following an impressive run of form for Niger Tornadoes, keeping three clean sheets in four appearances this month.
Liberia will travel to Praia to face Cape Verde in their Matchday Three encounter on Friday, November 13, 2026, before hosting the island nation in Monrovia four days later for the return fixture.

The Lone Star are under pressure to revive their qualifying campaign after losing their opening two matches.
The West Africans began their campaign with a 3-1 away defeat to Rwanda before suffering a narrow 1-0 home loss to Mali, leaving them without a point after two games.
Julu’s inclusion could provide a boost for Liberia as they seek to get their qualifying campaign back on track.
