Third driveway car firebombing in Melbourne in as many days

The latest firebombing happened in Balwyn at 1am today.

Cars were set alight in Taylors Hill and Keilor earlier this week.

Police are investigating another arson attack on cars parked in residential driveways in Melbourne.

Firefighters were called to Balwyn North in Melbourne's east at 1am.

They found two cars engulfed in flames in the carport of a home on Greythorn Road.

The cars have been destroyed and the home has been damaged.

One person was inside the house at the time.

Police said they were not hurt.

A crime scene has been set up while the Arson Squad investigates.

It is the third consecutive night of driveway firebombings.

On Monday, two cars were set alight at a home in Taylors Hill, in Melbourne's north-west.

A teenager remains in a critical condition in hospital after he was engulfed in flames during the incident.

A stolen car he was in also caught alight.

Police are still searching for two other occupants who were seen fleeing the scene.

And yesterday, a luxury car was set on fire in the driveway of a home in Keilor, also in Melbourne's north.

No arrests have been made in relation to any of the arson attacks.
