Afghanistan has not included veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi and middle-order batter Darwish Rasooli in its squads for the upcoming series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Nabi and Rasooli were part of Afghanistan’s squad for its ‘home’ three-match T20I series against India in New Delhi in September, which the host lost 0-3.

Nabi played all three games, but went wicketless in two of those. Rasooli has been on a poor run of form in recent times, having registered two ducks in the Asian Games 2026 after scores of 26 and 2 against India.

Afghanistan begins its packed schedule with a one-off Test against Bangladesh from October 9, before it faces Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in a Tri-ODI series from October 17 to 23.

Then, the team will play Zimbabwe in three T20Is and two Tests. All matches will be held in the UAE.
