Kpandai: One reportedly killed in Kumdi farmland dispute

One person has reportedly been killed following a clash between two communities over a farmland dispute at Kumdi in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region.
The confrontation occurred on Thursday, October 22, with reports indicating that gunfire was exchanged during the dispute.
The disagreement is said to have centred on farmland used for farming, with the matter reportedly having been taken to court before the latest incident.
A resident who spoke to Citi FM said the land dispute had been the subject of legal proceedings.
“It is because of land for farming. The issue was even sent to court,” the resident said.
Security personnel have since been deployed to the area to restore calm and prevent further violence.
The circumstances surrounding the reported killing, as well as the identities of the deceased and those involved in the clash, remain unclear.
