#SHOWBIZ: XPDC vocalist Ali hospitalised after suffering heart attack, lung complications

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran singer Ali of popular local heavy metal band XPDC has been admitted to the emergency ward at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital in Serdang due to acute health complications.

The update was shared by his close friend, Fuad Syahrin, who received a photo showing the vocalist attached to a breathing apparatus, Harian Metro reported.

Seeking immediate clarification, Fuad contacted Ali's son, Wan Aliuddin Aqiel.

"Aqiel informed me that he rushed his father to Serdang Hospital yesterday afternoon. Doctors confirmed that he suffered a heart attack alongside fluid accumulation in his lungs," Fuad explained.

He added that the singer remains under close medical monitoring in the emergency ward.

The 58-year-old singer, whose real name is Mohd Ali Ismail, previously faced a similar medical emergency at the same facility in late January after returning from performing his umrah pilgrimage in Makkah.

At the time, he suffered a viral infection that similarly led to fluid buildup in his lungs, requiring respiratory support.
