The prosecution panel in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte has decided to withdraw the article of impeachment on bribery, a manifestation submitted to the tribunal showed.
According to the document obtained by GMA News' Joseph Morong, the prosecution after due consideration "has determined to withdraw and no longer pursue Article III (Bribery)."
"Accordingly, the Panel will no longer present evidence on said Article III (Bribery). This withdrawal will streamline the proceedings and permit the case to proceed directly to the Respondent's presentation of evidence," the manifestation read.
