Signs and other items inciting and supporting terrorism were confiscated in Jerusalem's haredi (ultra-Orthodox) neighborhood of Mea She’arim, the Israel Police announced on Tuesday.

The items were discovered in two separate warehouses during an operation conducted by Jerusalem District Police officers from the Lev HaBira Police Station.

Additional items seized by police included Palestinian flags, a hat with a Hamas-affiliated design, spray paint cans and a paintball rifle.

The Israel Police said the owners of the items have yet to be determined.

The officers transferred the confiscated items to Lev HaBira Police Station's Investigations Unit for further processing, noting that the investigation remains ongoing.

Inciting materials confiscated from West Bank UAWC offices

Such operations are not uncommon in Israel. In December, security forces confiscated inciting materials at the Ramallah and Hebron offices of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) in the West Bank, the IDF said at the time.

Eight wanted individuals were arrested as part of the operation, along with 14 others who had been summoned for questioning, the military added.
