Ike Barinholtz Joins Jennifer Aniston In Universal’s Holiday Comedy ‘Naughty’

EXCLUSIVE: Ike Barinholtz is the latest actor to join the growing ensemble of the upcoming Universal comedy Naughty starring Jennifer Aniston. Peter Dinklage, Regina Hall and Chase Sui Wonders are also on board with Olivia Wilde directing. Jimmy Warden penned the script that Wilde will direct. The project originates from a spec script by Warden.
Naughty follows Mallory (Aniston), whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus (Dinklage) and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing. While unconfirmed, sources say Barinholtz plays the ex-husband.
LuckyChap will produce, as will Wilde and Warden. EVP Production Development Sara Scott and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio.
The project marks a reunion for Barinholtz and Wonders who co-star opposite each other and Seth Rogen on Apple’s The Studio. Additionally, Barinholtz co-wrote and executive produced Netflix’s Running Point, released in February 2025, a comedy series he created with Mindy Kaling and David Stassen, and stars Kate Hudson. The second season, which Barinholtz guest stars in, premiered in April, 2026. Next, Barinholtz will portray Elon Musk in Neon’s upcoming sci-fi satire Artificial, directed by Luca Guadagnino.
