Netflix's Hit Action Thriller Movie Is Officially Getting A Sequel Soon

Sniper: No Nation will officially be able to follow up on its cliffhanger ending.

The movie arrived on Netflix in July and spent two weeks on the global Top 10 chart, peaking at No. 3 while amassing more than eight million views worldwide during that period. It is the 12th installment in the sprawling Sniper franchise, which kicked off with the 1993 action-thriller of the same name, directed by Anaconda's Luis Llosa. 2026's Sniper: No Nation, which follows a daring rescue mission undertaken by Sgt. Brandon Beckett (Chad Michael Collins) and his father Thomas Beckett (Tom Berenger), had an abrupt ending followed by a teaser that promised a sequel.

Collins has played Brandon Beckett in every Sniper movie since the fourth, 2011's Sniper: Reloaded, while Berenger played Thomas in the original trilogy, going on to reprise the role in the fifth, seventh, eighth, and now twelfth installments.

During an interview with Michael Conway of JoBlo, Chad Michael Collins confirmed that Sniper: No Nation 2 is coming, although he could not reveal when the movie will debut. It is also unclear if the movie has an official title. While he referred to it as Sniper: No Nation 2, it ultimately seems unlikely that this will be the exact title of the 13th installment in the long-running action franchise, which hasn't featured a number in the title of any installment since 2004's Sniper 3.

Collins teased a little of what viewers can expect from the upcoming sequel, acknowledging that his character is "probably having a very unpleasant time wherever he is" and promising that fans who enjoyed the 2026 movie will "absolutely love" the follow-up. Read his full comments below:

We left it on a bit of a cliffhanger… Gunshots ring out. Screams cut to black… We have a lot of loose ends to tie up. We don’t know the fate of Thomas Beckett. We don’t know where Brandon Beckett, other than he’s being held captive and probably having a very unpleasant time wherever he is. The rest of his team are none the wiser for it. They’re in the dark. It’s gonna be really cool. If people love Sniper: No Nation, they’re gonna absolutely love Sniper: No Nation 2 as you see Brandon in a very very different light.

It remains to be seen when No Nation 2 will debut, but it could very likely be quite soon, given the precedent set by the recent entries in the Sniper franchise. While it took almost a decade for the first sequel to get made (2002's Sniper 2 followed the original by nine years and 11 months) and seven years for Sniper: Reloaded to follow Sniper 3, the hiatuses between movies have grown considerably shorter since then. After 2011, there has been a new installment in the franchise at least once every three years.

There was a two-year break after the one-two punch of 2022's Rogue Mission and 2023's G.R.I.T. – Global Response & Intelligence Team, which was followed by another swiftly produced pair of movies in 2025's The Last Stand and 2026's No Nation. This could indicate that there may be another two-year break, with No Nation 2 set to debut in 2028.

However, Sniper: No Nation's cliffhanger ending and teaser hinting at more to come would seem to indicate that the plan was always in place for it to be a two-parter. With that being the case, it's possible that the two movies were produced simultaneously, which would most likely mean that the sequel will be ready to debut by 2027, giving the franchise an unprecedented three films in three consecutive years.

This could mean that viewers can also expect the returns of the majority of the cast members of Sniper: No Nation, which includes franchise stalwarts Ryan Robbins (Netflix's Little House on the Prairie) as Agent Zeke "Zero" Rosenberg, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Pete, and Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz (Shazam!) as Nova alongside Collins and Berenger.
