Coronation Street's Sam Blakeman slips up - and here's what happens next

Coronation Street's Sam Blakeman has been caught out over Eva Price's fall at the Rovers Return as she confronted him in dramatic scenes.

Sam, who is still struggling with his mental health, is responsible for landing Eva in hospital after he pushed her down the cellar stairs during a visit to the pub.

In new scenes, Carl Webster, who was at the Rovers at the time of the incident, got the blame for the fall. His mum Debbie felt guilty after making a statement against her son, while her husband Ronnie assured her she'd done the right thing.

As the police escorted Carl to the station for questioning, Ben Driscoll gave him a piece of his mind.

"When I found out who did this, there'll be hell to pay," Will yelled at Carl, as Kit Green urged him to calm down.

Meanwhile, a conflicted Sam looked on as Carl was dragged to the station. After Sam snapped at friend Hope Dobbs, she shared her concerns with his dad, Nick Tilsley.

In the final scenes, Sam paid Eva a visit at the hospital. As he looked at her in fear, she suddenly remembered he was the one who had pushed her.

"It was you," Eva whispered.

Sam gaped at her, finally admitting: "I didn't mean for any of this to happen." He then fled, ignoring Eva's pleas to wait so that they could talk.

Spoilers have confirmed that Sam is set to come clean about the push in tomorrow's episode.

"As someone overhears Ben telling Kevin that so far the police have no idea who attacked Eva, the truth eventually comes to light with someone confessing to being responsible for the attack," the synopsis reads. "Who will come forward?"
