Big Brother fans slam "mean girl vibes" as new housemates arrive

Big Brother revealed two new contestants on Friday night, with Twinks and Catrin entering the house following Johanne's eviction. But while some were excited to welcome them in, others were not quite as pleased.
Tonight's episode began with the arrival of the newcomers, who quickly introduced themselves to the others. Though everyone greeted them politely, a few looks were exchanged between the original housemates - especially when Twinks said that she was a "witch".
In the snug, Rochelle and Philip shared their initial opinions of Twinks and Catrin, with Rochelle calling them "Twix and Twat". Meanwhile, Rhianna admitted she felt "jealous" seeing Omar interacting with Catrin, amid her romance with him.

Later, the lukewarm reception continued as the housemates attempted to get to know each other. Rochelle and Philip agreed that they didn't like Twinks and slammed her confidence since entering the show.
Elsewhere, Frankie, Omar, Harry, Pauline and Lynx also discussed Twinks' declaration about being a "witch", voicing their disapproval of "the dark arts". A conversation between Omar, Yasmin and Twinks caused further friction, leaving the latter in tears.
Viewers were irritated to see the unpleasant atmosphere in the house, following the new arrivals. They took to Twitter/X to call out the housemates for their "nasty", stand-offish behaviour.
"Omg the way everyone is talking about the new girls is absolutely awful," said one, with another agreeing: "The name calling already is NASTYYYY get rochelle out."
"The mean girl vibes are strong tonight," wrote a third, while a fourth asked: "How you having beef with someone who JUST came in???"

A sixth added: "Nahh is this really how they're all gonna act? It's not nice."
Meanwhile, one fan felt the housemates were valid in their reaction, admitting: "This is 100% one of my toxic traits, but I really wouldn't like new people stomping in either. I'd just have to shut them out."
Will tensions continue to mount throughout the House of Revelations?
