While searching for a final prodigy to train, legendary boxing coach K stumbles across a bewildering scene—an apathetic teenager simply standing still as his bullies throttle him. But Coach K sees more than this, sees the precision, grace, and uncanny perceptiveness in the boy's movements. He knows right away that this is the fighter he's been waiting for. Yet when he tries to recruit him, the boy with the lifeless eyes only asks one question: “Is it any fun? Hitting people…Is it fun?”
The series originally launched on Naver Webtoon in Korea in 2019. The series has more than 1.06 billion views globally as of September, and won an award at the World Webtoon Awards in 2024.
Ji-hoon Jeong (penname JH) is also known for the The Horizon webtoon, which WEBTOON released in English digitally and Yen Press released in print. The series was honored with the Yellow Kid “Book of the Year” award at Italy's Lucca Comics & Games festival in November 2025.
JH launched the Umbilical webtoon in December, and it is his first new series in three years since the conclusion of The Boxer.
