Prabowo names Bahlil to new downstreaming, energy transition post

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday appointed Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, a new cabinet post created on September 30.

Bahlil will concurrently retain his position as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

He was sworn in at the State Palace under Presidential Decree No. 104/P of 2026, signed by Prabowo on September 30 to restructure the Red and White Cabinet for 2024–2029.

“I will remain loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and faithfully uphold all laws and regulations," Bahlil said during his oath of office administered by Prabowo.

Following the oath, Bahlil and Prabowo signed the official inauguration documents.

Prabowo congratulated Bahlil and his family, followed by attending state officials.

Prabowo also appointed Suyudi Ario Seto as National Police Chief, Sugiono as Human Development Coordinating Minister, Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Presidential Chief of Staff, and Dudung Abdurachman as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.

Additionally, Arrmanatha Nasir was named Foreign Minister, Sarmuji Industry Minister, Dedy Prasetyo Agrarian Reform Head, and Fadhil Imran Deputy North Coast Authority Head.

The president also swore in Deputy Economic Minister Dradjad Hari Wibowo, Deputy Finance Ministers Nurkolisoh Ibnu Aman and Luky Afirman, and Deputy Fisheries Minister Irwan Meilano.
