It is the end of an era for Reacher on Prime Video's streaming charts now that the action thriller series' latest season has come to an end. Alan Ritchson had already been part of major projects like the DC TV shows Smallville and Titans — with the actor in talks to join James Gunn's DC Universe — before he got cast as Jack Reacher. However, it was through that show, one of Prime Video's most popular series ever, that Ritchson became a household name. Reacher's popularity has led to the creation of a shared universe on the streaming service with the spin-off Neagley.

Neagley season 1 debuted all of its eight episodes on the same day as the Reacher season 4 finale, with both shows being major hits on Prime Video's 2026 slate of series. Ritchson's success in the role has guaranteed more than just an early renewal, but the confirmation that Reacher will be back for two more seasons. While the actor is currently filming season 5, Prime Video has already announced that Reacher season 6 is on the way, with Neagley season 2 also confirmed. That said, Reacher has started to lose its footing on a Prime Video chart, signaling the end of an era.

According to data from FlixPatrol, Reacher is currently the 4th most-watched project on Prime Video's Top 10 Overall in the United States. Throughout Reacher season 4, which released new episodes weekly after a three-part debut, the action thriller series routinely claimed the top spot on the chart. With the release of the first Reacher spin-off, Neagley, Reacher eventually dropped to 2nd, still holding strong against both movies and TV shows in that select Prime Video chart. However, it is clear that the show is slipping now, as Now You See Me: Now You Don't ranks 2nd and Mike Flanagan's Carrie series just took over the 3rd spot.

The new Prime Video original series released all of its eight episodes on October 7, which likely helped boost Carrie's performance. As such, the horror show that is based on the iconic Stephen King novel has become an instant Prime Video hit. Carrie has also left Reacher behind on Prime Video's Top 10 TV Shows chart in the United States, with Flanagan's latest horror release at 2nd, only losing to Neagley, and Reacher now in 3rd. Like Carrie, Now You See Me: Now You Don't recently came to Prime Video on October 2. Nearly a month after its season 4 finale, Reacher might not hold on for long.

The Franchise Still Has A Bright Road Ahead

Reacher falling off Prime Video's charts was always going to happen, as it is the natural process once a new season finishes. The fact that it should be able to hold on to the Prime Video overall chart nationwide for a full month from its season 4 finale and maybe even more, even if the Prime Video action thriller series is currently falling, is remarkable. Reacher's future — and Neagley's, renewed for season 2 — is also secured for at least two more seasons, and beyond the announced season 6, there could be many more, as Lee Child has released 30 Jack Reacher books so far.
