Translate

Several parts of Johor are experiencing unhealthy air quality this morning, with six locations recording air pollutant index (API) readings of between 142 and 155.

API readings between zero and 50 are categorised as good, 51 to 100 as moderate, 101 to 200 as unhealthy, 201 to 300 as very unhealthy, and 301 and above as hazardous.

Batu Pahat topped the list as of 8am with a reading of 155, followed by Segamat (153), Kluang (150), Pasir Gudang (149), Larkin (148) and Tangkak (142).

Samarahan in Sarawak also recorded an “unhealthy” API reading of 152.

Fifty-seven locations nationwide recorded “moderate” API readings, and three – Sandakan, Sabah; Langkawi, Kedah; and Kangar, Perlis – had good air quality.
