Official: Grabara has successful ACL surgery after Juventus injury

Juventus have announced that goalkeeper Kamil Grabara underwent surgery today to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, with reports he could be out for seven months.
The shot-stopper had only made his debut in the 5-0 Europa League victory over NEC after arriving on loan with option to buy from VfL Wolfsburg in August.
However, coach Luciano Spalletti explained that the injury was sustained during a routine training exercise, and was spotted by tests at the medical centre.
Grabara season for Juventus is over
This afternoon, Grabara underwent surgery at the Guardian Clinic in Konin, performed by Dr Andrzej Pyda in the presence of Juventus club doctor Dr Marco Freschi.
It required the complete reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, so far more significant an operation than a mere tear.
This is why there are reports Grabara could be out of action for anything up to seven months.
Juventus have therefore secured a replacement, agreeing personal terms today with free agent Neto for a contract to June 2027.
