Dame Mary Berry's daughter has sold her hideaway Oxfordshire mansion for £3.95million.

Belles Berry, who designed the property with her husband in 2020, listed Blenheim Farm in May.

Just five months later, the house is under offer.

The home – which was constructed on the site of an old bungalow – is located near Ewelme, close to Wallingford and overlooks ten acres of countryside.

The dream mansion was complete with two kitchens, a champagne chiller and an Aga gifted by her famous mother.

Mary was said to regularly visit the stunning south Oxfordshire home.

The TV cooking legend celebrated her 80th birthday there, helped pick fruit in its garden and even turned up regularly for Sunday roasts armed with pudding.

Belles said: 'We hosted mum's 80th in there on a perfect summer's day.'

She added: 'They usually head over to us on a Sunday for a roast. Mum always brings the pudding!'

Blenheim Farm was previously an alpaca farm, and the family originally lived in the old bungalow when they moved there in 2014, before relocating into the barn to stay on site for the rebuild.

And Belles took full advantage of being able to create the family home from scratch.

She said: 'The joy of designing your own house is you can have two dishwashers, two washing machines, two fridges and six bins if you want to - and we did.'

The spectacular main kitchen is complemented by a second test kitchen, while antique painted wooden pews and a dresser came from a French monastery.

The property features a specially-built library that has a window to the kitchen

Belles described the property as a 'happy house' and added that it has 'the wow factor'

Having two kitchens, Belles said, worked brilliantly as she can entertain in one, and use the second to house equipment.

Elsewhere, the library contains part of the literary legacy of Belles' father, who had more than 5,000 books from his antiquarian shop.

The colourful home also features Andrew Martin wallpaper, a 1970s tan leather sofa and glass-topped furniture from the book shop.

The home also features Belles' so-called 'sanctuary' – a separate study which houses her collection of gardening and cookery books.

Belles said: 'It's a happy house, and it has the wow factor.'

The outdoor space proved just as important to the family.

As well as the pool and tennis court, the grounds include a 60-year-old beech woodland and gardens where Mary has helped her daughter pick and prune.

Blenheim Farm has been 'thoughtfully designed to maximise its scenic setting and bring the outside in'

The games room is one of the property's many features equipping it for family life

Belles said: 'There's a wonderful fruit garden at the back of the barn, and mum helps me pick and prune.

'We pick blackcurrants and gooseberries in autumn, and mum takes her trug home and returns with warm blackcurrant jam by noon.'

Belles said Blenheim Farm had been 'the perfect home for the family', adding that her children enjoyed an 'idyllic time' there while she became an 'accidental smallholder', rearing lambs, cows and ducks and keeping bees.

She said she hosted Dame Mary's 80th birthday at the site on a 'perfect summer's day'.

She said: 'The rose garden is full of mum's favourite roses, Chandos Beauty. There's a wonderful fruit garden at the back of the barn, and mum helps me pick and prune.

Belles added a swimming pool at Blenheim, which she called a 'winner in lockdown'

'We pick blackcurrants and gooseberries in autumn, and mum takes her trug home and returns with warm blackcurrant jam by noon.'

Victoria Knight, head of office at Savills in Henley-on-Thames, said the property had been designed to 'maximise its scenic setting and bring the outside in'.

She added: 'With two kitchens, a swimming pool, tennis court and games room, this is a home perfectly suited to family life and entertaining on a grand scale.'
