Danjuma family takes wedding glamour to Marbella
The wedding celebration of Saraya Danjuma, daughter of former Chief of Army Staff, Theophilus Danjuma, and her groom, Bawa Salka, took an international turn, with family, friends and prominent Nigerians gathering in Marbella, Spain, for the next phase of their nuptial festivities.
Following their elaborate traditional wedding in Lagos, where the couple was joined according to northern traditional rites, the celebration continued in the glamorous Spanish resort city.
The welcome party took place at La Cabane, a Dolce & Gabbana-designed beach club in Marbella, setting the tone for a relaxed yet luxurious celebration.
The Lagos ceremony had already attracted a high-profile guest list, including Vice President Kashim Shettima; Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and his wife, Bamidele; Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; and businessman, Femi Otedola, among others.
The Marbella celebration, however, brought a distinctly international flavour, with guests arriving in the Spanish coastal city ahead of the main wedding festivities.
Photographs and social media posts from the celebration offered glimpses of the relaxed yet glamorous atmosphere, with guests turning up in stylish outfits and sharing moments with the couple.
The hosts, Saraya and Bawa, were at the centre of the festivities, welcoming their guests as the destination celebration got underway.
The mother of the bride, Daisy Danjuma, dazzled in a floral gown as she warmly welcomed guests and ensured they were settled and ready for the party.

Among the notable guests were the founder of Greenwood House School, Eku Abudu-Akinsanya; former First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari; businesswoman, Folake Oyemade; Bola Shagaya; Lanre Dasilva; and Bisola Giwa-Osagie.
The son of the President of Nigeria, Seyi Tinubu, also attended the party.
Aremo Oniru, Benedict Murray-Bruce, Dino Melaye and Terry Waya were also seen in one of the videos, holding wine glasses and vibing to music.
Victor Briggs and his wife, Amelda; Beatrice Abebe and her daughter, Justice Elizabeth Alakija; and Ebitimi and his wife, Pelebo Banigo, were also among the guests.
With more celebrations ahead, the Marbella gathering appears to be another glamorous chapter in what has become one of Nigeria’s much-discussed high-society weddings of 2026.
