The new version features modern visuals, voice acting, and enhanced Dueling and Tag Dueling with over 3,800 cards. The physical editions for Switch 2 and Switch include three physical Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game cards: Yubel, Wicked Canon, and Hope for the Future. Preorders for the digital Switch 2 and Switch 2 editions include the same digital cards as well as a Winged Kuriboh Duel Mate for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel game.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3 debuted for PlayStation Portable in Japan in November 2008. The game got releases in Europe and Australia, but not in North America. The Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2 games launched for PSP in 2006 and 2007, respectively, and received releases in North America.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series premiered in 2004. Cartoon Network began airing the series in 2005, followed by 4Kids TV in 2007, both dubbed in English. Crunchyroll added the anime's first season in August 2015, and also offers its English-dubbed version. The company later added the fourth season in Japanese with English subtitles. The anime is also streaming on other services including Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Tubi.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster GX 20th Remaster, a remastered version of the anime, began airing on TV Tokyo in April 2025 to commemorate the anime's 20th anniversary.
