xQc has told Atrioc to move on with his life after Pokimane publicly addressed the deepfake controversy involving the streamer, saying “there's life left to be lived.” During an October 27, 2026, livestream, the French-Canadian streamer also questioned the idea of judging someone indefinitely for a past mistake. This came a day after Pokimane said she felt “uncomfortable” and “publicly humiliated” over Atrioc's past involvement with paywalled deepfake images of female streamers. Atrioc acknowledged her feelings and pulled out of his TwitchCon 2026 panel, explaining that he did not want to make anyone uncomfortable.
xQc tells Atrioc to NOT back out of TwitchCon to appease other creators ???????? "There's life left to be lived. You can't define everything you're gonna do based off one thing you did, because other people hold it over your head, otherwise you're gonna be fcking miserable buddy." https://t.co/t2QKJnXGT0

xQc Says Atrioc Should Stop Letting His Past Mistake Define His Future
On stream, xQc spoke straight to Atrioc about the TwitchCon decision. His point was that Atrioc should take control of his own life instead of letting one old mistake decide what he does next.
“Atrioc, listen, buddy, stop doing that. Buddy, like, stop doing that. Like, there's life left to be lived,” xQc said.
He kept going, saying Atrioc shouldn't let other people hold his past over him forever. “You need to take control of your life,” he said. Also, xQc brought up the wedding invitation Atrioc got and used it as an example of how people close to him can look past the controversy.
“Because if he got invited to the wedding, right? It means that he does have close friends because close friends can see past his mistake,” he added.
His comments were about Atrioc moving on, not a claim that the original incident was acceptable. He told his chat, “I'm not even defending this guy,” before getting into his bigger opinion on how people should treat someone who made a mistake.
xQc Questions Criticism of Atrioc While Pokimane Explains Why the Incident Still Affects Her
xQc also took a harder line when the talk turned to whether someone should be criticized for past actions after going back to their own corner of the streaming community.
“I'm not even defending this guy,” he told viewers, then argued that people who leave others alone shouldn't automatically get targeted over their history. He didn't name Pokimane directly, but the comments seemed aimed at the renewed criticism of Atrioc.
Pokimane's position was different. In her October 26 post on X, she said she wasn't trying to cancel Atrioc or control who could invite him to events. What she wanted was for people to understand how his presence around her friends and at creator gatherings kept affecting her.
She also acknowledged that Atrioc had spent money on helping remove deepfake content, including offering her $3,000, but said she had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars dealing with same problem. “Regardless, no amount of money undoes what happened,” she wrote.
Atrioc accepted that Pokimane's feelings were valid, saying he felt terrible about what happened and could not undo it. He also said he withdrew from his planned TwitchCon panel because he didn't want his presence to make anyone uncomfortable.
As of this writing, Pokimane has not publicly responded to xQc's remarks.
