Access Bank appoints new executive director for risk management
Access Bank Plc has appointed Ifedayo Olaniyi Orimoloye as Executive Director, Risk Management, following approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The appointment, announced by Access Holdings Plc on Friday, takes effect on 21 September, 2026.
Orimoloye joins Access Bank with more than 25 years of experience in risk management across financial institutions in Africa, Europe and the United States.
He was most recently Group Chief Risk Officer of the African Development Bank, where he was responsible for a portfolio exceeding $40bn and contributed to the institution’s risk management framework and continued AAA credit ratings from Moody’s Investors Service, S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings.
His experience covers enterprise risk management, capital optimisation, credit governance, regulatory compliance and strategic transformation.
Before joining the African Development Bank, Orimoloye held senior risk management positions at Sterling Bank Plc, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Wells Fargo Bank, HSBC and Citigroup.

Access Holdings said he also played key roles in capital and securitisation transactions, including initiatives aimed at expanding renewable energy access across Africa.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Finance and an MBA in Finance from California State University, Hayward.
Group Chairman of Access Holdings, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, said Orimoloye’s international experience would strengthen the bank’s risk governance as it expands its operations.
“Mr. Orimoloye brings strong global risk management experience and strategic leadership to the Board of Access Bank Plc,” Aig-Imoukhuede said.
The holding company said the appointment reinforces Access Bank’s focus on governance, prudent risk management and sustainable stakeholder value.
