Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Creative Economy is inviting creative communities and brands in Jakarta to showcase their products and expand their access to global markets at the 2026 World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE).

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar said her office is offering opportunities for local brands to introduce their products through international delegate welcome packages.

"Interested businesses can offer products with the WCCE identity and include information for conference participants to identify and contact the business owners," Umar said in a statement on Saturday.

She mentioned that products from creative businesses interested in participating in the WCCE are required to incorporate the WCCE identity in their designs.

The products must also provide a brief story, product name, and contact details for delegates interested in reaching the owners.

This step is believed to increase collaboration opportunities, stimulate the growth of Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem, and expand the market for local products internationally, the ministry stated.

The WCCE 2026 series will also feature a Creative Village from October 21 to 25, 2026, in the SCBD area of Jakarta and its surroundings.

The event will showcase various creative economy subsectors through music, design, architecture, lifestyle products, games, film, animation, and digital content.

"We invite our colleagues and partners to learn more about the upcoming programs. If you are interested in joining, please coordinate with our team to discuss your participation," Umar said.

Other opportunities offered include art launches, collaboration announcements, and organizing community activities utilizing the space available during the conference.

The Ministry of Creative Economy is also collaborating with SCBD Weekland to present creative activities that connect businesses with visitors to the area.

WCCE 2026 will feature ministerial-level meetings, discussions with creative industry leaders, and business networking activities that connect business actors with potential partners from various countries.

The forum also provides business matching facilities to support communication and collaboration exploration between industry players.

The international creative economy forum will take place from October 21 to 23, 2026.

Meanwhile, UniPin Senior Vice President Debora Imanuella welcomed WCCE 2026, particularly the sessions that bring together the community, speakers, and industry players.

"Such an event provides an opportunity to meet directly with people we previously only saw on social media or read about in the news. We can also explore opportunities with brands, government, and industry players," she remarked.

Through this momentum, the Ministry of Creative Economy is encouraging the promotion of creative agendas from various regions while expanding opportunities for Indonesian creative economy players to showcase their work and build networks.
