Tammy Beaumont has committed her playing future to The Blaze for another two seasons following her international retirement earlier this year.
Beaumont, the 35-year-old opening batter, has agreed to a two-year contract extension up to the end of the 2028 domestic season, taking a career which began at Kent in 2007 into a third decade. She ended her time with England Women following the historic first Women's Test at Lord's, against India in July, with 7,327 runs across all three formats.
A World Cup winner in 2017, Beaumont has played in the East Midlands since joining Lightning in 2020 at the start of the post-Covid regional era and has since stayed with the side, renamed The Blaze in 2023 and expected to rebrand again under Nottinghamshire next season.
She has scored more than 2,600 all-format runs in 78 appearances for the two sides combined and this year was an integral part of The Blaze's unprecedented domestic treble, contributing more 900-plus runs in 35 games during the County Cup, T20 Blast and One Day Cup competitions. She scored 74 in in the One Day Cup final and an unbeaten 54 in the Blast decider.
"I'm so excited to be here for another couple of years as we hopefully try to defend some of our trophies we won this year," Beaumont said. "It's been an amazing four years here, with so many special memories at Trent Bridge, and particularly this year, winning the treble.
"Trent Bridge is a really special place for me, and I have so many memories with my team-mates, our staff, and the fans, over many years. I really can't wait to keep playing at Trent Bridge and stay part of the family for a while longer yet."
Dover-born Beaumont previously played for her native Kent for 12 years and represented Surrey Stars and Southern Vipers in the Kia Super League.
She has franchise experience with three sides in The Hundred - where she made the highest individual score across the men's and women's competitions with her 118 off 61 balls for Welsh fire in 2023. She has also represented three teams in Australia's WBBL.
Craig Cumming, head coach at The Blaze, said: "We're absolutely delighted that Tammy has agreed to extend her contract for another two years. It's great news for us as a team because we can continue to call upon one of the highest-quality players of this generation, who continues to be an incredibly important part of our squad.
"She's shown the world over many years exactly what she can do, and now she's stepped away from internationals, we're very excited to have her as a full-time member of our group."
