Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri has been handed a two-game suspension by the Lega Serie A and will now be suspended for his upcoming matches against Monza and his former club Juventus. See the full list of suspensions after the eighth round of Serie A fixtures below.

Allegri and Gaspar given two-match bans after Serie A Week 8

The eighth round of 2026-27 Serie A fixtures began on Friday night with Torino’s 3-2 victory over Monza and came to a close with Milan’s 2-0 win away against Udinese on Sunday night.

Only one [layer was sent off during the weekend’s round of Serie A fixtures: Lecce’s Kiolonda Gaspar, who has earned a two-match suspension after being shown a straight red card for violent conduct, appearing to intentionally strike his opponent in the face with his arm.

No players have yet reached the five yellow card threshold to earn a one-match ban, although Frosinone’s Gabriele Bracaglia and Cagliari’s Alessandro Deiola are now on four each.

The only other individual to earn a suspension this weekend was Napoli head coach Allegri, who was shown a red card for his protests after Leonardo Balerdi’s late equaliser in the 3-3 draw between the Partenopei and Roma on Saturday evening.

Allegri took off his jacket and stormed off after being shown a red card, but returned a few moments later and needed to be held back by members of his coaching staff.

His reaction has earned him a two-match ban, which means that he will not be permitted to sit in the dugout for Napoli’s next matches against Monza or away against Juventus next weekend.
