Tema Development Corporation steps up digitalisation, security and customer services

Translate

The Tema Development Corporation (TDC) says it is introducing digital systems and strengthening security at its facilities as part of efforts to improve service delivery and make its operations more accessible to clients.

The corporation says it has begun implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) programme to digitalise its internal processes and reduce reliance on manual files and paperwork.

The initiative was outlined during a working visit by the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Ahmed Ibrahim, as management briefed him on measures being taken to improve the corporation’s operations.

The measures form part of a broader effort to improve the experience of clients and other people who visit the corporation's offices.

Head of Corporate Planning and Communications at the agency, Dorothy A. Asare-Kumah Adolf, speaking during the visit by the sector Minister, says it was pursuing strategic land acquisitions to expand its operations beyond the Greater Accra Region, with locations mentioned in the Volta Region and Kumasi.

The expansion plans form part of the corporation's broader real estate development agenda, which includes residential, commercial and other supporting facilities.

The Minister's visit comes as the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources reviews the operations of agencies under its supervision to identify challenges and explore ways to improve their performance.
