Hong Kong firefighters continued to battle a hill fire near a residential area in Tuen Mun on Sunday afternoon, several hours after it broke out.

No injuries were reported, but the flames were spreading along the hillside near Shan King Estate, sending thick clouds of smoke billowing into the air.

The blaze, reported at about 1.30pm, broke out in a patch of grass measuring about 10 metres by 20 metres (108 square feet to 215 square feet) on Por Lo Shan near a freshwater service reservoir off Wong Yin Street. As of 5pm, emergency crews were still battling the blaze.
