The body of the graphic album contains a prologue and epilogue, along with comic adaptations of each of the eight songs on the record, from a creative cast that includes Kelly Sue DeConnick, Andy MacDonald, Steve Niles, Goran Parlov, Benjamin Raab, Deric Hughes, Matt Haley, Dan Hernandez, Adam Markiewicz, David Dastmalchian, Stan Yak, Corin Hardy, Montos, John Reppion, Leah Moore, Vincent Locke, Henry Sansom, and Davide Frabbi.

The book also features an introduction penned by comic-book legend Bill Sienkiewicz, who has collaborated with Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson in the past, as well as an extensive interview with Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith about the creation of the album conducted by Dave Shack of Phantom.

“It’s just a great version of Eddie, my favorite version of Eddie probably,” stated Smith. “There’s a real power there, you know, a genuine power and menace. He’s very muscular isn’t he? He looks like he’s been working out. Like I say, it complements the music, which is fantastic.”

The Deluxe and Platinum editions of Somewhere In Time: The Graphic Album come in metallic Time Machine slipcases with a diecut green acetate targeting lens and a cover by Blake Armstrong. The retail edition features three covers, with Jay Geldhof’s available exclusively via EMP and Dan Mumford’s exclusive to Rarewaves while Tony Harris’ is for all other retailers. The Deluxe and Platinum editions also come with art prints of all four covers by artist Davide Fabbri and a bookplate signed by Adrian Smith.
