Karan Johar has opened up about his desire for love and companionship, revealing that he hopes to find a life partner despite believing that marriage may not be a possibility for him. During a conversation with Vijay Deverakonda on Koffee With Karan 9, the filmmaker spoke about wanting someone to share his everyday experiences, celebrate his milestones and be an equal parent to his ten-year-old twins, Yash and Roohi.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has offered a candid glimpse into his personal life, revealing that he wants a partner with whom he can share life’s everyday moments and major milestones. The filmmaker spoke about his hopes for love and companionship while interacting with actor Vijay Deverakonda on the latest episode of popular celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan 9 that aired on October 21,2026.The conversation began when Vijay asked Karan to manifest something he wanted in his life.

After inviting Vijay to share his wish first, the actor spoke about Rashmika Mandanna, saying, “I'm going to hold Rashmika's hand, and you know with me she's safe.”Vijay then turned the question towards Karan, asking him what he wanted to manifest while sitting on the show's iconic couch.Responding candidly, Karan said, “I would like to have a partner. I would like to be in a relationship. Marriage, I think, technically may not be a possibility.

So somebody who can share the nothings of my day with, something who I can celebrate the somethings of my life with, someone who can be an equal parent to my twins who are now ten, and somebody who I can call mine and yet feel loved and respected and also complete my life with me.

Vijay responded warmly to Karan’s admission, offering a playful yet affectionate wish for the filmmaker’s hopes to come true.“Let's pray to the old gods and the new and the coffee gods and the couch gods to make this happen,” Vijay said.Karan appeared touched by the sentiment and replied, “Yeah. I think your prayer felt real.”
