Calvin Harris Spins His Way Into Guinness World Records

Calvin Harris can’t stop breaking records. The Scottish EDM star spins his way into the record books, this time with a set that’s said to have pulled the biggest-ever crowd by a DJ.

Harris performed to an estimated 1.6 million partygoers in São Paulo, Brazil in February of this year, the largest attendance for a DJ set by a single artist. That’s according to Guinness World Records, which acknowledges the feat and gifted Harris a special certificate.

The DJ and producer played on a float Feb. 8, 2026, transforming Rua da Consolação into an outrageously massive dance party. On the night, his set included his hits “This Is What You Came For,” “One Kiss,” “I Need Your Love” and “We Found Love.”

Harris endeared himself with locals by wearing a Brazil soccer shirt numbered with “00” and emblazoned across the back with “Calvinho.”

“Calvin Harris has spent years creating music that brings people together, so to see that reflected on this scale is really quite remarkable,” comments Will Munford, Official Guinness World Records adjudicator.

“An estimated 1.6 million people came out to be part of his performance in São Paulo, which is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the global reach of his music,” Munford continues. “We’re delighted to officially recognize him with the Guinness World Records title for the largest attendance for a DJ set by a single artist.”

The dance music giant (real name: Adam Wiles) has notched two No. 1 albums and 11 No. 1 singles in the United Kingdom, dating back to his 2008 collaboration with Dizzee Rascal, “Dance Wiv Me.” No other dance act has more leaders on the Official U.K. Singles Chart.

His collection of career honors include two Brit Awards, an Ivor Novello Award, a Grammy Award, he bagged the most U.K. No. 1 singles in the 2010s (eight), and has the distinction of being the first British solo artist to pass one billion streams on Spotify. Now, in 2026, his combined streams top 56 billion.
