President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Publisher of BusinessDay newspaper, Frank Aigbogun, ahead of his 70th birthday.

Aigbogun will turn 70 on Sunday, November 1.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by him on Saturday, Tinubu described Aigbogun as a distinguished journalist and media entrepreneur whose contributions to business journalism and economic reporting had shaped public discourse in Nigeria.

“I commend him for his commitment to responsible journalism and for providing a platform for insightful analysis of economic policies, investment opportunities, and developments that shape Nigeria’s business environment,” the President said.

He noted that Aigbogun’s work had been significant in strengthening credible business reporting as a tool of national development.

Tinubu also urged experienced media professionals like Aigbogun to remain active contributors to Nigeria’s institutional growth as the country undergoes economic reforms.

He said, “I believe experienced media professionals such as Frank must remain invaluable contributors to Nigeria’s institutional development and the advancement of business journalism, at a critical time, as our nation undergoes economic reforms.”

Aigbogun founded BusinessDay in 2001 as a daily business and financial newspaper. The publication has since grown into a platform for economic analysis, investment reporting and policy commentary.

The President wished him good health, renewed strength and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
