Gersh Signs Business & Culture Creator Jaclyn Johnson

Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Gersh has signed Jaclyn Johnson, the business, investment and culture content creator.

Johnson is known as the founder of Create & Cultivate, a women’s global media and events platform that launched back in 2011 as a retreat for 25 female founders in Palm Springs.

She went on to build its reach to more than two million worldwide, with more than 550,000 newsletter subscribers and company revenues that hit $14M in 2019.

Johnson sold Create & Cultivate, which focuses on giving women the tools, connections and resources to advance personally and professionally, for $22M to a private equity firm before she partnered with the company’s new CEO, Marina Middleton, to buy it back for a six-figure amount 18 months later.

The company has since raised $2.6M in venture capital and focused on events centered on access to industry experts and technology-driven programming. Johnson currently serves as Chief Creative Officer.

On social media, Johnson has around 135,000 followers, with Create & Cultivate adding another 720,000. She and Middleton also host the WorkParty podcast, which has welcomed guests such as Sara Blakely and Tyra Banks.

Johnson also works as an angel investor with a focus on early-stage, female-led companies, and is a regular speaker on the creator economy and business circuits.
