A model has revealed horrifying details of the biggest hygiene breaches that go on in the world of fashion.

Yente Lisa Reitsma has built up a blossoming modeling portfolio complete with campaigns for the likes of Toni&Guy, DSQUARED2 and Superdry.

But she explained that not every brand she has worked with is as professional.

Taking to TikTok, Reitsma stunned her followers with a candid glimpse into the realities of the industry by sharing a clip introduced as: 'Unhygienic things in modeling.'

'Buckle up,' she defiantly stated at the start of the video before running through the worst blunders she had witnessed, without calling out brands directly.

'Number one, makeup artists using the same brush not on just one other model, on the hundreds and thousands of models backstage at a show.

'You are being lined up before you go on that runway and they are like "final touches!"

'That's when you know you gotta run. That's when you know you gotta hide...

'There she comes with this little brush, lip after lip after lip, eye after eye after eye. I'm out.'

Next up, Reitsma turned her attention to casting calls for bikini and lingerie shoots as she took an exaggerated gulp for effect.

She explained that 'most of the time' models get to keep the underwear that they wore.

Sometimes there are sanitary padding options that allow multiple models to wear the same pair, with Reitsma explaining: 'That is already a step down but they are still trying.'

But that is not the worst of it.

Discussing 'the lowest it can get,' Reitsma shared that she was once caught off guard at a casting in Milan.

'I was one of the last girls [to be seen]. And they were like "okay just wear this bikini."

'I'm like "yeah sure," I'm not thinking about it... I grabbed the bottoms and I'm not even going to say what I saw. You can imagine it for yourself.

'Hundreds of models have been wearing the exact same one single thong - and you could see it.'

Reitsma, who is Dutch but was born in New Zealand, grimaced as she turned her head away from the camera.

'So I didn't wear it. I told them, "I'm not going to do that,"' she shared.

The model ended up doing the casting in the bikini top from the set but kept on her own underwear.

'I'm serious, I'm not doing that,' the star concluded of her point.

However, that was not the last of it.

Reitsma said: 'Don't even get me started on model apartments... They are so disgusting.'

Elaborating her point in reference to male model apartments in particular, she explained: 'There is hair, mold, everything is f**king everywhere.

'It's so disgusting and they don't care and they will be so nonchalant about it.'

Reitsma uploaded the clip, which has been viewed 7.9 million times, alongside a simple caption that read: 'No bro, it's NOT FINE.'
