Halloween candy hasn’t even been handed out yet, but Hilary Duff is definitely in a Christmas mood already. The singer-actress dropped the follow-up to this year’s sixth studio album of new material, Luck… or Something Friday (Oct. 23) with the five-track Yuletide EP Holiday Things.

The collection includes a cover of the holiday classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” as well as her updated version of Wham!’s beloved “Last Christmas,” which originally appeared on the singer’s 2002 debut studio album, Santa Claus Lane.

In addition, Holiday Things will feature three original tracks: “I Guess It’s Christmas,” “All You Want for Christmas Is Me” and “I Want (A Few Small Things).” In an Instagram post promoting the EP on Wednesday (Oct. 21), Duff teased, “I guess Christmas came early … Holiday Things is yours this Friday 10.23 ✨💝🥂,” alongside a picture of her looking glum at a party. In the snap, the frowning singer wears a fancy, frilly party dress as she sits in front of a forest of pink and blue balloons near a table festooned with a cake and champagne on ice.

Duff celebrated the 24th anniversary of Santa Claus Lane on Oct. 15, posting the cover of the album on Instagram alongside snaps of her three children with her husband, producer Matthew Koma, and throwback promo images from her teen star days.

After a decade-long retreat from releasing music, Duff has stormed back this year with Luck… or Something, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, followed up April by (Mine), featuring re-recordings of such beloved Hot 100 hits as “Come Clean,” “What Dreams Are Made Of” and “Wake Up,” and then, earlier this month, “CATastrophe,” from The Cat in the Hat soundtrack.

Duff is gearing up for a run of sold-out shows in Australia kicking off on Saturday (Oct. 24) at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, followed by a quartet of iHeartRadio Jingle Ball shows in L.A., New York, Boston and Nashville in December, and a 2027 North American, European and South American tour that will keep her on the road through next November.
