Kosovar winger Edon Zhegrova scored his first goal for Juventus on Sunday evening, and his first in any match since November 2024, when he played for Lille.
After coming on around the hour mark, moments before Sassuolo took the lead through Sebastiano Esposito, Zhegrova showed real intent, making some good runs and nearly setting up German forward Nick Woltemade.
He was rewarded for his efforts when, with just under ten minutes to play, Sassuolo goalkeeper Arijanet Muric failed to clear a cross properly, allowing the Juventus man to blast one into the bottom left corner.
The winger then doubled his tally on the night, equalising once again after Kieron Bowie thought he’d won the game for the hosts. Sassuolo went on, in fact, to win the match, after a dramatic conclusion.
