Werner's preliminary Q3 result misses consensus

Translate
  • Transportation and logistics provider Werner Enterprises (WERN) said on Monday that it expects third-quarter preliminary total revenue of $946M to $951M, missing consensus estimate of $953.56M.
  • The company projected GAAP diluted earnings per share of $0.10 to $0.11, which also missed the consensus estimate of $0.36.
  • The company also projected non-GAAP adjusted diluted EPS of $0.15 to $0.16.
  • Werner Enterprises attributed the Q3 earnings miss to factors including rapidly rising fuel prices, driver recruitment and retention investments, and a late-quarter insurance reserve adjustment related to past claims.
  • Werner plans to provide additional details when reporting its Q3 results on October 27, 2026.
