Dakota Johnson Steps Out With MGK in Los Angeles Amid Romance Rumors

Taylor Swift Makes Surprise Appearance on ‘SNL’ to Support Dakota Johnson
Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly are making an even bigger splash with their latest outing.
A month after the Verity actress first sparked romance rumors with the "Bad Things" rapper, they fueled speculation when they stepped out together for another joint outing in Los Angeles Oct. 14.
Indeed, the pair were seen arriving at Say Yes, a speakeasy and cocktail lounge in Hollywood, according to footage obtained by DeuxMoi.
For the casual outing, Johnson sported a dark leather jacket over a white cropped tank and pants, wearing her hair in its signature sleek style.
Meanwhile, MGK (real name Colson Baker) went for an incognito look, sporting an all-black ensemble and wearing his jacket’s hood over his head.
The “Bad Things” singer appeared in good spirits, greeting a passerby as he entered the lounge, with the Fifty Shades of Grey alum walking behind him.
While Johnson and MGK—who crossed paths at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July wedding—have yet to address the romance rumors, they have been spotted hanging out together on multiple occasions over the last month.
On Sept. 12, the Bigger Splash actress and the “Lonely Road” artist hit the town together in New York City just weeks after Johnson’s breakup from Role Model was confirmed.
And shortly after their first public outing, the 37-year-old was seen watching MGK walk the runway at Milan Fashion Week’s Vogue World 2026 show on Sept. 22.
And while Johnson—who has also previously dated Coldplay’s Chris Martin for eight years before their 2025 breakup—alluded that she may have an affinity for musicians, that doesn’t mean she’s always a fan of them.

After Vogue noted in a Sept. 18 interview that the Materialists actress does “know a lot of musicians,” she acknowledged the mutual connection.
"They like me," she quipped. "I don’t know what to say."
Johnson then added, "And I like them."
But when the interviewer asked, “What’s not to like?," Johnson replied with a cheekier comment, saying with a laugh, “A lot! A lot. Tricky motherf--kers.”
As MGK once sang, nothing can be that bad for Johnson if it feels good, right?

The romance also served as inspiration for much of McCartney’s new music, telling E! News in 2021, “I feel like life sort of needs to happen between each record to be able to write something special and new.”
“For me in this case, obviously, a lot of it was my relationship with Katie,” he added, “and how that growth has affected me and affected my writing."

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
The Grammy winner saw sparks fly with the Kansas City Chiefs football player during the cruel summer of 2023.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told TIME in December 2023. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
But there was no denying the alchemy between this duo.
In August 2025, Kelce proposed to the "Enchanted" singer in his backyard and the pair officially tied the knot in July 2026.

The One Direction alum sparked dating rumors with the Blink Twice director in September 2025 after stepping out several times in New York. By April 2026, the pair began sparking engagement rumors due to Kravitz stepping out with a big ring on that finger.
And while neither Styles, nor Kravitz confirmed their romance, the High Fidelity alum shared a bit of insight into their high profile romance.
“I’m aware it’s happening,” she told British Vogue of the interest in the pair's relationship in June 2026. “I’m aware when it’s happening, like when there are eight people outside my house, that’s super uncomfortable. I’m aware of all the ingredients that create the thing we’re talking about. But that doesn’t mean you’re necessarily OK with it.”
