Obi-Wan Kenobi was one of the greatest Jedi in Star Wars, and he has a long list of accomplishments from Star Wars: The Clone Wars alone to prove it. As Anakin's master and best friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi was involved in many of the best episodes of The Clone Wars. While he rarely got solo stories, Obi-Wan proved himself as a competent general of the Grand Army of the Republic, one of the greatest Jedi in Star Wars, and a good friend throughout The Clone Wars.

Kenobi accomplished quite a bit in Star Wars, from training Anakin as his apprentice to protecting Luke Skywalker in the films. However, his greatest accomplishments in The Clone Wars show alone are more than enough to cement him as a legend of the franchise. Obi-Wan Kenobi's 10 greatest feats in The Clone Wars prove why he's such a beloved Star Wars character and why he was such an important part of the war as a whole.

10 Recovering The Jedi Holocron Stolen By Cad Bane

Cad Bane forcing Anakin Skywalker to open a Jedi holocron in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 2 episode 2

Cad Bane proved to be a thorn in the Jedi's side multiple times in The Clone Wars, but Obi-Wan Kenobi managed to best him once. After Bane had stolen a holocron containing a list of Force-sensitive children, Kenobi tracked him down to Rodia and nearly caught him. Later, once he had been properly captured, Kenobi helped extract the location of the remaining children Bane had kidnapped and saw that they were returned to their families.

Impressive as foiling Cad Bane is, this achievement has a few caveats. It was largely a joint effort by the Jedi to stop Bane; Anakin, Ahsoka, and Mace Windu were all involved in the mission alongside Kenobi. He also let Bane escape, albeit Windu also couldn't keep the bounty hunter contained. Still, Kenobi was able to recover the holocron, keep the children safe, and stop one of Palpatine's many dastardly plans.

9 Defeating Darts D'Nar In Unarmed Combat

Zygerrian Slave Empire Star Wars The Clone Wars

Obi-Wan may be revered as a lightsaber duelist, but he was also quite scrappy in an unarmed fight. No scene proves that more than his fight with Darts D'Nar, a Zygerrian slaver. Though D'Nar initially dominated Obi-Wan, the Jedi managed to hold his own against the much larger and stronger Zygerrian. He also, importantly, stalled the slaver long enough for Anakin and Ahsoka to disarm several bombs D'Nar had planted, averting a major crisis.

Kenobi's fight with Darts D'Nar really highlighted one of his greatest advantages: his mind. Even in the face of an unwinnable fight, Obi-Wan had a backup plan to both survive and win the day for the Republic. He was willing to sacrifice his body to give Anakin and Ahsoka time to work, and it ended up paying off in the end. Even when Obi-Wan was outclassed physically, no one could beat his mind.

8 Defeating General Grievous Several Times

Obi-Wan vs. Grievous - ARC Troopers

Obi-Wan Kenobi fought General Grievous four times in The Clone Wars, so it's worth lumping all their duels together into one overall feat. Though he was sometimes defeated, Obi-Wan could routinely put Grievous on the back foot even fighting by himself. Lesser Jedi fought and died to Grievous countless times, and he was revered for his cybernetic enhancements and superhuman strength and speed, so beating him even once is an achievement.

Obi-Wan, however, beat Grievous twice and survived all four of their fights, not including their final duel in Revenge of the Sith. Even with four lightsabers, cybernetic augmentations, and more, Obi-Wan proved more than a match for Grievous. Many of his duels with Grievous also turned out to be major strategic victories, forcing the Separatist forces to retreat alongside their leader.

7 Destroying The Malevolence

Obi-Wan Kenobi, C3PO, Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars season 1 episode 4

Several of Obi-Wan's greatest achievements overlap with Anakin's greatest feats in The Clone Wars, but they still reflect very well on him. One such feat was the destruction of the Malevolence, a superweapon ship piloted by General Grievous that could disable enemy ships' electronics from a distance. The Malevolence was a prototype at the onset of the war, and if it had entered large-scale production, the Republic may well have lost the Clone Wars.

That's why it's so important that Obi-Wan helped destroy the Malevolence. Again, Kenobi had help from Anakin, Padmé, Plo Koon, and Ahsoka, but he still proved invaluable in the mission. Without him there to temper Anakin's hotheaded plans, the Jedi may not have successfully infiltrated the ship and destroyed Grievous' weapon.

6 Finding A Cure For The Blue Shadow Virus

Nuvo Vindi in a helmet with a lightsaber in his face in Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Obi-Wan Kenobi - mostly by association with Anakin - was at the center of many of The Clone Wars' most important events. One of the most momentous actions he ever took is often overlooked: he helped find a cure for the Blue Shadow Virus, a deadly disease recreated by Nuvo Vindi that could have wiped out all intelligent life in the galaxy. Ahsoka and Padmé destroyed the virus, but Obi-Wan and Anakin both captured Vindi and discovered the cure that saved their lives.

The destruction of the Blue Shadow Virus arguably saved the most lives of any action in the Clone Wars as a whole, which easily earns it a spot on Obi-Wan's list of top feats. He was, however, aided by several other people during this arc, which limits how impressive it was for him specifically. Still, Obi-Wan saved countless lives, ensured Nuvo Vindi could never continue his work, and saved the lives of Ahsoka and Padmé; all in all, a good day's work.

5 Discovering Dooku's Ties To The Clone Army

Count Dooku Fights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in Clone Wars

As was so often the case with Obi-Wan, one of his greatest victories in The Clone Wars was tinged with defeat. Late in the war, Obi-Wan and Anakin investigated the ultimate fate of Syfo-Dyas, the Jedi who ordered the Clone Army created. At several points in this investigation, Kenobi proved his wisdom by pushing the issue further, all the way until he discovered that Count Dooku was ultimately responsible for the cloning program on Kamino.

Unfortunately, Obi-Wan and the Jedi Council stopped there. If Obi-Wan had been allowed to continue his investigation, he may have discovered the plans for Order 66 early and saved the entire galaxy. Still, even with the investigation half-finished, Obi-Wan accomplished quite a bit. Another Jedi, like Anakin, never would have been able to find Dooku's connection to Syfo-Dyas. This story also included another great lightsaber duel with Dooku, which once again proved Kenobi's might with a blade.

4 Protecting Satine Kryze From Pre Viszla & Death Watch

Obi-Wan's history with Satine Kryze is blemished at best and marred by tragedy, but it did still produce one noteworthy feat of his. In their first encounter in the show, Obi-Wan Kenobi protected Satine from Pre Vizsla, who was wielding the darksaber at the time, and the entirety of Death Watch. It was yet another duel under Kenobi's belt, but his duel with Pre Vizsla also had much further-reaching effects than that.

By successfully protecting Satine, Kenobi set the events of the Siege of Mandalore in motion. His actions caused Death Watch to be ousted from Mandalore, kept Satine in power for a few more years, and ultimately led to Maul taking control of the planet, which would inadvertently save Ahsoka's life. Anakin would later help Obi-Wan kill Tal Merrik, but the first part of this story is attributable to Obi-Wan alone.

3 Battling Maul & Savage Opress To A Standstill

Obi-Wan Defends Himself Against Darth Maul And Savage Opress

Perhaps the most impressive lightsaber feat Obi-Wan Kenobi had in The Clone Wars came when during several times he was ambushed by both Maul and Savage Opress. Kenobi fought the pair of Zabraks a handful of times; with Anakin Skywalker on one occasion, with Asajj Ventress on another, and mainly by himself after Adi Gallia was killed. In that last instance, Kenobi managed to cut off Opress' arm while fighting two-on-one.

Maul was one of the most feared lightsaber duelists in the galaxy throughout his life, and Savage Opress had previously escaped from both Obi-Wan and Anakin before his arm was cut off. Fighting even one of them and surviving would have been a feat for any Jedi, but Kenobi fought both on multiple occasions and came out unscathed every time. These fights were proof that Obi-Wan Kenobi was one of the greatest Jedi duelists of all time.

2 Foiling The Kidnapping Of Chancellor Palpatine

Obi-Wan contacts Mace Windu disguised as Rako Hardeen

The greatest victory Obi-Wan Kenobi ever secured truly on his own came when he went undercover to foil an attempt to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine. After faking his own death, Kenobi took on the face and identity of Rako Hardeen to infiltrate a group of bounty hunters hand-selected by Count Dooku to kidnap Palpatine. Eventually, Kenobi was successful in thwarting Dooku's plan and saving Palpatine's life.

Obi-Wan had quite a few individual feats in his undercover mission. He successfully duped several of the best bounty hunters in Star Wars, including Cad Bane. He survived Count Dooku's trials without his lightsaber, briefly fought Count Dooku to a standstill, and even managed to arrest many of the conspirators. Seeing Obi-Wan willingly lie was almost as rare as seeing him go on a solo mission, but he didn't disappoint.

1 Keeping Anakin On The Light Side As Long As He Could

Anakin standing in front of Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars, both looking surprised

In typical Obi-Wan Kenobi fashion, his greatest achievement in The Clone Wars was borne out of his greatest failure: Anakin Skywalker's fall to the dark side of the Force and transformation into Darth Vader. The Clone Wars made it very clear that Anakin's corruption was inevitable and unavoidable. There was too much darkness and anger in him from the very beginning; he was going to become Darth Vader no matter what, it was just a question of time.

Despite that inevitability, Obi-Wan kept Anakin good far longer than he should have been able to. He showed Anakin time and again that the Jedi way, while flawed, was still virtuous and just. He showed Anakin that no matter what, he would never give up on him, that Anakin could be angry and headstrong, could carry out a secret affair with Padmé, and more, and Obi-Wan would still love him. Without Obi-Wan's influence, Anakin would have grown disillusioned and fallen to the dark side years before he did. Obi-Wan Kenobi's greatest victory in The Clone Wars was buying the galaxy time to find a new hope, something no one else could have accomplished.
