‘Scream’ actress Hayden Panettiere dies at 36, just four days before birthday

American actress Hayden Panettiere has died, aged 36, her representative confirmed to American news outlet ABC News.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” said her representative in a statement, as reported by ABC.

Her cause of death has not been disclosed as of writing, but she had been open about her struggles with her mental health, including postpartum depression upon giving birth to her daughter in 2014, and agoraphobia following the death of her brother in 2023.

The former child star also disclosed that she turned to substance abuse in order to escape her grief.
With her passing, Panettiere left behind her 11-year-old daughter Kaya, whom he shared with former heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko. She is also survived by her parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere.
Panettiere was known for her roles in TV series “Heroes” (2006 to 2010) and movie “Bring It On: All Or Nothing” (2006).
The late actress also appeared in the slasher horror franchise “Scream” (2011–2023) and in the ABC/CMT musical drama series “Nashville” (2012–2018).
