Valencia Boss Delighted with Sadiq’s Injury Comeback
Valencia head coach Javier Aguirre has expressed his delight following Umar Sadiq’s return to action after spending around two months on the sidelines through injury.
The Nigeria international made an immediate impact, coming off the bench in Valencia’s 1-0 victory over Elche CF on Sunday night.
Sadiq, who replaced Pablo Maffeo in the 61st minute, scored the decisive goal just six minutes after his introduction to secure all three points for Los Ches.
The victory also marked Valencia’s first win since Aguirre took charge of the club in September.

Aguirre Happy With Sadiq’s Injury Return
Speaking after the game, the Mexican manager expressed his happiness at having the Nigerian striker back in the squad.
“It’s a joy for everyone. We also had the 0–2 opportunity, and I don’t know what happened in that play. Elche CF had their chances too. The victory feels good,” Aguirre told the club’s official website.
Real Madrid Test Next
The Valencia boss has now turned his attention to the team’s next league encounter against Real Madrid, insisting that facing one of Europe’s top sides provides sufficient motivation.
“We don’t need any extra motivation. We’re playing against one of the best teams, and hopefully we can put in a good performance,” he added.
Sadiq has now scored twice in four La Liga appearances for Valencia this season, with his latest contribution providing a timely boost for the club ahead of their clash with Real Madrid.
