Big Brother will have proper eviction despite fans calling for a 'fake' twist to keep Rochelle and Johanne

Translate

Ever since the 23rd season of Big Brother got under way last month, Johanne and Rochelle have practically been at loggerheads. But that will change in Friday's (2 October) episode, as one of them will be evicted.

The duo have argued over several things on the ITV reality series, but it was confirmed earlier this week that the duo were both vulnerable to elimination, with the public deciding which housemate will be sent home.

With the pair providing the bulk of the drama so far, some fans have proposed that a twist be introduced to keep both parties in the house, with some fearing that losing one cast member could seriously impact the season's watchability.

"Been the best series in the last 10 years. Loved how big brother have not intervened too much and let the confrontations play out. Too early for either of these to go. Both of these have to stay. Do a fake eviction would be brilliant," wrote one fan on X earlier this week.

"The one time the big brother viewing nation are screaming at @bbuk to do a fake eviction and you just know they’re not gonna do it," wrote another viewer, while a third hoped for the same as they called Johanne and Rochelle the "MVPs" of the season.

One fan even had a developed idea, noting: "if big brother was smart it would be a fake eviction and next week would be something like 'the house of puppets' and the evicted person would act as big brother from a secret room and return a week later."

It doesn't look like these fans will have their wishes granted, however, as Digital Spy understands that an eviction will take place as planned. Though this may disappoint viewers, there is at least some good news.

As per the teaser for the upcoming episode, it has been confirmed that the evicted housemates will be interviewed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best immediately after their exit, so we can expect plenty of fireworks!

Elsewhere, the latest task - 'The Million Pound Shop' - sees Omar and Pauline attempt to gather food for the house, while tensions start to rise as a bottle of prosecco mysteriously vanishes without a trace.

Big Brother airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
